Hexosapien is a new type of Humanoid Robot (patent
pending) being
developed by SOC Robotics and researchers at Simon Fraser University. Hexosapien uses Stuart Platform hexapods for most of it's joints providing a
range of motion that closely duplicates human motion. Hexosapien
consists of 10 hexapods and 6 rotary actuators for a total of 68 linear
actuators. Watch

Hexosapien is based on WeArable Lower Limb
Anthropomorphic Exoskeleton (WALLAE) technology being developed as part of
an Assistive Walking Technology project
supported in part by funding from an NSERC CRD grant.
